MLFR Wide Band Reject Filters by Micro Lambda Wireless

Just announced by specialist distributor, Admiral Microwaves, is the MLFR Series of multi-octave, band-reject YIG filters, manufactured by Micro Lambda Wireless. These filters deliver not only superior performance and value for money, but can be ordered with an exceptionally wide choice of drivers, in either commercial or military grades. Drivers available include commercial analogue, TTL digital or serial types, and military grade digital and serial versions.

The Micro Lambda MLFR filter and driver combinations are particularly suited to the growing requirement for wideband coverage. With outstanding notch depth and precise bandwidths for rejection of unwanted signals, the YIG filters are targeted at high frequency designs in commercial broadband as well as military electronic warfare system applications.

With excellent linearity, these YIG band reject filters cover the frequency range of 500MHz to 18GHz, 2 to 18GHz and 2 to 26GHz. Contained in a 1.4in (35.6mm) cube, the devices offer 3dB reject bandwidths of 150MHz and 40dB bandwidths of 5 to 25MHz as standard. Modified 3dB and 40dB bandwidths are available to special order.

The MLFR series devices feature up to 16 stages, maximum passband VSWR of 2.1, and maximum passband insertion loss of 2.5dB. Performance specifications are guaranteed over the 0 to 65oC temperature range, and extended temperature range devices are available.

Micro Lambda Wireless is the world’s largest independent supplier of YIG components. Components are available in RoHS compliant configurations. The filters are available in the UK on a 6 to 8week delivery through Admiral Microwaves. Prices start from £500, extending to around £1500 for more complex models.
