Microwave mixers make their mark with Admiral Just announced by Admiral Microwave is a substantial range of triple balanced microwave mixers, manufactured by Marki Microwave, the world-class microwave component manufacturer based in Silicon Valley. Markis M2 Series of triple balanced mixers utilise a dual-quad, AC-coupled IF topology. This is eminently suitable for wide RF/LO/IF bandwidth applications. In particular, the M2 topology provides for high IF frequencies and for significant frequency overlap in the RF/LO/IF bands. The use of two quads facilitates the high drive levels required for high dynamic range applications. With various diode options to choose from, the M2 wideband series covers RF ranges from 0.005 to 3GHz up to 2 to 50GHz. The series is available in an extensive choice of housings, with more ten package styles offered as standard, including surface mount and connector versions. Custom models are also available with gold plated Kovar bonding pads. Competitively priced, the M2 mixers are proving to be particularly popular for use in up and down converters and similar types of satellite systems, and are incorporated into test and measurement equipment. Typical customers will be working on microwave radio, broadband wireless and satellite communications systems, medical, industrial and university research and development projects, or military systems such as phased array radar and surveillance. Marki Microwave, a well-established manufacturer with an extensive heritage, offers a comprehensive microwave product portfolio including mixers, doublers, multipliers, and specialty components ranging from amplifiers to DC blocks and bias tees. Consulting and custom design services are also available. Admiral Microwave is an operating division of Ruislip-based specialist distributor, Aspen Electronics, since September 2006. The company offers a wide range of components including: antennas, amplifiers, attenuators, hybrid and directional couplers, filters, loads, multiplexers, MMIC (GaAs), phase shifters, switches, terminations, wave guide components and YIG tuned products, from major manufacturers including Aethercomm, Anaren, Cushcraft, Herley, Johanson, Micro Lambda, Microwave Device Technology, Peregrine Semiconductor, Sonoma Scientific, RF Power Components and United Monolithic Semiconductors. Admiral has long focused on providing a fully interactive design support service for high frequency projects. Its technical experts can help with circuit design and computer modules to predict performance over a range of various parameters. |
